6 Step Lawn Care
At Cerami Lawn and Landscape, we offer an effective 6 Step Lawn Care service. Certain tasks must be performed at key times to keep your lawn looking its best all year. Here are the steps we use to accomplish this goal!
Step 1 - Slow-Release Fertilizer (March/April)
Fertilizer is a necessary first step to a green, luscious lawn. We specifically use a slow-release fertilizer to ensure your lawn gets what it needs, when it needs it.
Step 2 - Pre-Emergent Crabgrass and Broadleaf Weed Control (March/April)
The best way to get rid of weeds in your grass is to prevent them from growing in the first place. That’s why we target common crabgrass and broadleaf weeds before they emerge.
Step 3 - Slow-Release Fertilizer, Crabgrass Control, and Insect Control (May/June)
Once the warmer weather hits, we will apply slow release fertilizer to give your lawn the nutrients it needs. Unfortunately, the weather also means bugs and crabgrass. We’ll prep your grass during this stage to avoid pests and crabgrass.
Step 4 - Slow-Release Fertilizer and Additional Insect Control (July)
The heart of the summer is when your grass needs the most support. In July, we’ll apply another layer of fertilizer. The bugs are also at their worst at this time, so we’ll give your lawn extra protection.
Step 5 - Slow-Release Fertilizer and Grub Control if Needed (August/September)
As the summer ends and the cooler nights begin, your lawn will need new fertilizer. This is also the time grubs can emerge. If we discover grubs in your lawn, we’ll take extra steps to remove them during this stage and keep them from coming back.
Step 6 - Slow-Release Fall Fertilizer and Broadleaf Weed Control (October/November)
While the growth of your grass will slow down in the fall, it’ll still need support from fertilizer. Different species of weeds tend to emerge in the cooler weather, so we’ll be sure to protect your lawn from the intruders while ending the season as green as possible.
